Chelation Therapy
Chelation Therapy is used to help support the body’s natural detoxification process by binding to certain heavy metals and assisting with their removal. At A Brighter Tomorrow Whole Health Center, we evaluate each patient individually to determine whether chelation may be an appropriate part of their personalized wellness plan.

What Is Chelation Therapy?
Chelation Therapy is an intravenous treatment designed to help bind and remove certain heavy metals from the body. The word chelation means “to bind,” and during treatment, a chelating agent is administered through an IV to attach to specific metals so they can be eliminated through the body’s natural detoxification pathways.
At A Brighter Tomorrow Whole Health Center, Chelation Therapy may be considered for patients with concerns related to heavy metal burden, toxic exposure, cardiovascular health, circulation, or other chronic health challenges where detoxification support may be beneficial.
How Chelation Therapy Works
Chelation Therapy commonly uses EDTA, a chelating agent that binds to certain metals and minerals in the bloodstream. Once bound, these substances are processed and excreted through the urine. This process may help reduce the body’s toxic metal burden and support healthier circulation in appropriate patients.
Because every patient is different, chelation is not a one-size-fits-all therapy. Before beginning treatment, patients complete laboratory testing and meet with a provider to determine whether they are a good candidate. If appropriate, additional heavy metal testing may be recommended before beginning a personalized series of treatments.
Conditions That May Benefit from Chelation Therapy
Chelation Therapy may be considered as part of a comprehensive treatment plan for patients with heavy metal exposure, cardiovascular concerns, circulatory disorders, and other chronic health conditions. Every patient is evaluated individually to determine whether this therapy is appropriate for their specific needs.
Conditions that may benefit from Chelation Therapy include:
- Detoxification of harmful heavy metals
- Cardiovascular health support
- Intermittent claudication
- Cerebrovascular concerns
- Memory-related concerns
- Peripheral neuropathy
- Peripheral vascular disease
- Diabetic complications
- Slow-healing wounds
What to Expect
Before beginning Chelation Therapy, patients undergo laboratory testing and a consultation with one of our providers to determine whether treatment is appropriate based on their individual health history and goals. If indicated, additional heavy metal testing may be recommended before developing a personalized treatment plan.
Chelation Therapy is administered intravenously in a comfortable clinical setting and is generally well tolerated. The length and frequency of treatment vary depending on your specific needs and provider recommendations. Throughout your care, our team monitors your progress and adjusts your treatment plan as needed to support safe, effective, and personalized care.
